On Sunday, actor and politician Udhayanidhi Stalin took to Twitter to share that he has gifted director Mari Selvaraj a Mini Cooper, for the success of their latest outing Maamannan

Udhayanidhi also penned a long note in Tamil. He wrote, "Everyone is discussing it differently. They are combining their thoughts with the story and sharing their ideas. It has become a hotly debated topic among Tamils ​​around the world. It has inculcated the sense of self-respect and social justice of our leaders like Ambedkar, Periyar, Anna, Kalainar, etc. in the younger generation. The film is also a commercial success. Red Giant Movies takes pleasure in presenting Mari Selvaraj sir with a Mini Cooper car. Thanks to my Mari Selvaraj sir for giving wings to Mamannan to fly around the world."

Apart from Udhayanidhi Stalin, the film starred Vadivelu as the lead, Keerthy Suresh in a prominent role and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Theni Eswar, editor RK Selva, and Action Choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan. It is to be noted that Maamannan is Udhayanidhi’s last film as an actor before he assigns himself to a full-fledged political career.
