The makers of Bakasuran, the upcoming film starring Selvaraghavan, announced that the film will hit the theatres on February 17. 

Directed by Mohan G, the film also stars Natty in the lead. The release date poster features Selvaraghavan and the tagline reads, "Protect what's yours." From the trailer, it looks like the film deals with a concern about women lured and cheated into sending their personal videos.

It may be noted that Mohan directed films like Draupadi and Rudhrathandavam, which drew criticism for the themes it handled and their portrayal. Meanwhile, Bakasuran also stars Radharavi, Rajan K, Rams, Saravanan Subbiah, D Gunanithi, Tharakshi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Devadharshini, and PL Thennappan. The film's technical crew includes music composer Sam CS, DOP Farook J Basha, editor Devaraj S and art director Kamal Nathan. Bakasuran is produced by GM Film Corporation. It may be noted that Bakasuran will clash with Dhanush-starrer Vaathi which is also releasing on the same date.
