Jailer's release date pushed?

CE Features

Rajinikanth's Jailer has been constantly hitting the headlines with announcements regarding its ensemble cast. The most recent update was Tammannaah joining the cast of this Nelson Dilipkumar directorial. So far, Kannada star Shivrajkumar, veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal and Telugu star Sunil are the other big actors who are a part of this Rajinikanth film.

Earlier, reports suggested that Jailer was slated for release in the Summer of 2023. According to earlier reports, the film was to compete with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2. However, the latest update is that Jailer's release may be postponed to August 2023. The shooting is also not complete yet owing to the busy schedules of the prominent stars in the film. The makers reportedly want to push the release date as they do not want to hurry Jailer's post-production work.  However, we still await an official confirmation regarding the release date from the makers.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, which earlier backed Annaatthe, Jailer has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, and Vasanth Ravi in pivotal roles.
