As reported earlier, Aishwarya Rajinikanth is next directing Lal Salaam with Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as the leads. Her father Rajinikanth is also playing an extended cameo role in the film, which has music by AR Rahman. The latest update is that costume designer Poornima Ramaswamy has walked out of the film. 

Taking to Twitter, the Soorarai Pottru costume designer said that she is no more the costume designer of Lal Salaam due to irrevocable differences with the team. She also said that she made the statement clear so that her name is not included in posters henceforth.  

Lal Salaam is backed by Lyca Productions banner and will feature actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. Besides direction, Aishwarya has also written the screenplay of the film. It will be the first time Aishwarya is directing Rajinikanth and their maiden professional collaboration. Lal Salaam will release in theatres in 2023.
