Anusha Sundar

The first single from upcoming Tamil film Thalaikoothal, Uchathula Vennilavu, was released on social media on Saturday. The film is set to release in theatres on February 3.

The song is voiced by Pradeep Kumar, with Yugabharathi penning the lyrics. The music for the film is composed by Kannan Narayanan. The song captures the relationship between a bed-ridden father and his son, who takes care of him. The song depicts how the adult son readies his father every day, takes him for check-ups, and sometimes even to temple, despite his father being in a vegetative state.

Thalaikoothal stars Kathir, Samuthirakani, Vasundhara among others. The film is written and directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan, with S Sashikanth producing it. The film borrows its title from a traditional practice of euthanasia by the family members of elderly.

The technical crew consists of cinematography by Martin Donraj, with Dani Charles as the editor.
