Sathish's next to be black comedy film

After Naai Sekar and Oh My Ghost, actor Sathish will be once again playing the lead role in a Tamil film, which was launched on Wednesday.

The yet-to-be titled film will be directed by Venki, a former associate of Lokesh Kanagaraj and has worked in the latter's Vikram and Master. Venki has also helmed music videos like Kutty Pattas, Vaada Raasa and Bodha Dhevadha.

Speaking to Cinema Express, Sathish said that the upcoming film will be of black comedy genre. “We will be going on floors from March. It will be a story that happens in Chennai,” the actor adds.

The upcoming Sathish-starrer also features newcomer Simran Gupta, Aanandharaj, Thilak Ramesh, John Vijay, Thangadurai, among others. The film will be backed by White Carpet Films banner.

Meanwhile, Sathish was last seen in a minor role in Vijay-starrer Varisu. The film hit the big screens for Pongal and is currently enjoying a favourable theatrical run.
