Although it was already known that I Ahmed's next with Jayam Ravi was titled Iraivan, the makers confirmed the same with a first-look poster.

In a tweet about the shooting being wrapped up, Ahmed had used the '#Iraivan' and it lead to confirmation about the title of the film, which stars Nayanthara alongside Ravi. This is the second film featuring the two actors after Mohan Raja's Thani Oruvan.

In the intriguing first look, we only see Ravi in the foreground with a silhouette of both the leads in the background.

Incidentally, Iraivan marks the second collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Ahmed after Jana Gana Mana, a big-budget spy thriller, which is yet to be completed. The film's shoot got stalled halfway due to the pandemic-induced restrictions. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer for Jana Gana Mana as well.

Backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram G of Passion Studios, Iraivan has cinematography by Hari K Vedanth, and editing by Manikanda Balaji.

Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: I, has Kalyana Krishnan's Agilan, and Antony Bhagyaraj's Siren coming up. Meanwhile, Nayanthara is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut with the Atlee-directorial, Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
