We had earlier reported that Dhanush is speculatedly working on his second directorial and that the film is reportedly featuring Vishnu Vishal and SJ Suryah in lead roles. The latest report is that Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan are roped in to play important roles in the film. 

If the reports are true, then this will be Kalidas and Dushara’s third collaboration together after Natchathiram Nagargiradhu and Balaji Mohan’s directorial. The title of the film is speculated to be Raayan. The film, which may be set in North Madras is however not a collaboration between Dhanush and Selvaraghavan. 

Dhanush is expected to play an extended cameo in this film, just like in his previous directorial. The film is likely to be produced by Sun Pictures and the official announcement is yet to be made.

On the acting front, Dhanush is awaiting the release of Vaathi directed by Venky Atluri, which will simultaneously release in Telugu titled Sir. The film might release in February and is in its post-production stage. The actor is also working on Arun Matheswaran’s Captain Miller, and the next schedule is to begin in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. Touted to be an action drama, the film is set in the 1980s.
