AK62 director Vignesh Shivan, who recently caught Thunivu, has praised the film through his Instagram story. The Naanum Rowdy Dhaan filmmaker has written, “ Watching the king on screen is always an amazing feeling. The unmatchable ‘AK’ swag is Thunivu. Blockbuster in all senses. Excellent work from H Vinoth and team.” 

Vignesh Shivan recently produced Connect, directed by Ashwin Saravanan. The horror film starring Nayanthara opened to mixed reviews. 

AK62 is said to go on floors soon. Actors Santhanam and Arvind Swami have been reportedly roped in for major roles in this film. The film is produced by Lyca Productions.

Thunivu is a bank heist film that discusses financial fraud. Thunivu is Vinoth's third consecutive collaboration with Ajith Kumar after Nerkond Paarvai and Valimai.
