It is already confirmed that Ajith Kumar's next will be directed by Vignesh Shivan. Tentatively titled AK 62, the film is backed by Lyca Productions. As per our sources, Ajith plays a don's role in the film. The makers are planning to begin shooting in Mumbai later this month.

Specualtions are also rife that Trisha is in talks to play the female lead in the film. If it turns out to be true, it will be their fifth film together after Kireedam, Ji, Mankatha and Yennai Arindhaal.

AK 62 will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, a regular in Vignesh Shivan's films. It is also the composer's third film with Ajith after Vedhalam and Vivegam

Meanwhile, Ajith's much-hyped Thunivu is gearing up for Pongal release. Directed by H Vinoth, it's a bank-heist thriller, also starring Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani and John Kokken.
