Vijay's much-awaited Varisu has got a kids-friendly U certificate from the censor board. Additional information state that the film's runtime is 2 hours 49 minutes. 

It may be noted that Varisu's competition Thunivu, was censored U/A yesterday. 

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is a family entertainer in which Vijay essays the role of an entrepreneur's son. Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Shaam and Sangeetha are also part of the cast.

The film is gearing up for a grand Pongal release where it will be clashing with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu.
