The makers of Maaveeran dropped a new poster of the film, on Sunday, for the occasion of New Year's. Featuring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, Maaveeran is helmed by filmmaker Madonne Ashwin, in his sophomore directorial after critically acclaimed Mandela.

The newly released poster shows Sivakarthikeyan looking up sideways, with a disturbed face expression, against the backdrop of clouds and giant orange circle that appears to be a sun. His image vanishes into what may seem as scaffolding. The poster has the phrase “veerame jayam” which translates to “courage triumphs”.

Besides Sivakarthikeyan, the film also stars Aditi Shankar as the female lead, along with ensemble star cast including Mysskin, Saritha, Yogi Babu, Sunil, among others. Maaveeran will also release in Telugu as Mahaveerudu. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna and music composer Bharath Shankar. Philomin Raj is the editor
