The makers of Dada, the upcoming film starring Kavin, announced that the film will hit the theatres in January. 

Taking to Twitter, Kavin announced that the Tamil theatrical release for the film is acquired by Red Giant Movies. He wrote, "My heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by me without any expectation in return! Happy new year, everyone! Here’s to a fresh start, new opportunities and all of your heart’s desires."

Directed by Ganesh K Babu, the film features Aparna Das as the female lead. She made her Tamil debut with Beast. 

According to reports, the film is billed as a family entertainer and will connect mainly with 2K kids. The film is produced by Olympia Movies.

Dada's promotional posters tease a tale of love between a baby and its father. The film also features actors K Bhagyaraj and Aishwarya as parents of Kavin's character, marking their first collaboration after 30 years. They were last seen together in Rasukutty (1992), directed by Bhagyaraj himself.

Dada's technical crew includes music composer Jen Martin, editor Kathiresh Alagesan and cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K.
