Actor Kavin's Dada, which hit the theatres on Friday, opened to a positive response. A day after the release, the actor announced that Kamal Haasan had watched his film.

It may be noted that Kavin had participated in one of the Bigg Boss editions hosted by Kamal Haasan. Sharing a couple of photos with Kamal Haasan, Kavin wrote, "Went to the temple today." (sic) The photos of the film crew with Kamal have also surfaced on social media.

Directed by debutant Ganesh K Babu, Dada is billed as a family entertainer and will revolve around a couple (played by Kavin and Aparna), who gets pregnant and the drama that ensues.

Besides the main leads, Dada features a host of known faces, including Aparna Das, Bhagyaraj, Aishwarya Baskaran, VTV Ganesh, Pradeep Antony, Harish K, and Fouziee, among others. Backed by S Ambeth Kumar under the banner Olympia Movies, the technical crew of Dada includes cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K, music composer Jen Martin and editor Kathiresh Alagesan.
