Jackie Shroff has joined the cast of Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer. The makers, Sun Pictures, on Sunday shared Jackie’s first look from the film on social media.

“Jackie Shroff from the sets of #Jailer,” the makers posted on Twitter along with Jackie’s picture.

Jailer marks Jackie and Rajinikanth’s third collaboration. They have previously worked together on Uttar Dakshin, directed by Prabhat Khanna, in 1987. They also worked together in Kochadaiyaan (2014). Jackie Shroff is also known for his role as the antagonist in Vijay-starrer Bigil (2019).

The teaser of Jailer was released on Rajinikanth’s birthday and the makers introduced the actor’s character Muthuvel Pandian, a jail warden. The film will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

Jailer will feature four reigning actors from Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi, respectively, making it a complete pan-Indian film. The presence of Mohanlal, Shivrajkumar, and Sunil has already been announced by the makers. The film also features Tamanaah, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan and Vinayakan.
