The title for Vijay-Venkat Prabhu's much-awaited Thalapathy 68 is finally here. The film has been titled The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), with a caption that reads, "A Venkat Prabhu hero".
The first look poster for the film, which was revealed on Sunday, also bears the caption, "Light can devour the darkness but darkness cannot consume the light." The poster seems to confirm the speculations that actor Vijay is portraying two different characters in the film.
Produced by Archana Kalpathi under the banner of AGS Entertainment, GOAT went on floors in October 2023. With Meenakashi Chaudhary playing the female lead, the ensemble cast of the film also includes industry heavyweights like Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Prabhudheva, Mohan, and Jayaram. Venkat Prabhu regulars like Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajai Raj, and Aravind Akash are also part of the cast.
With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, GOAT is set to have cinematography by Siddharth Nuni, editing by Venkat Raajen, art direction by Rajeevan, and stunt direction by Dileep Subbarayan.
Vijay and Yuvan Shankar Raja will be collaborating after two decades; they last worked together for the 2003 film Pudhiya Geethai.
