Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan is in the final stage of post-production as the film is gearing up for its Republic Day, 2024 release. Sharing an update about the film, on Saturday, the film's director Pa Ranjith took to his official X handle to share photos of Vikram from dubbing sessions.

He wrote, "‘Serious’ Dubbing patchwork. #Thangalaan. (ps. there are no dialogues in the teaser.)" One photo features Vikram candidly as he is focusing on his dubbing. Another photo shows the entire crew standing along with Vikram, as they seem to have completed the patchwork.

Also starring Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles, Thangalaan is said to be based on true incidents. It will focus on the Kolar Gold Factory in Karnataka and what transpired there under British rule.

The supporting cast of Thangalaan includes Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and Hari Krishnan among others. The technical crew of Thangalaan consists of A Kishor Kumar (cinematography), Selva R K (editor) and GV Prakash Kumar (music composer).

Backed by KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green, the film is all set to hit theatres on January 26, 2024.
