The makers of Nanban Oruvan Vandha Piragu (NOVP) released the Aalathey song from the film, on Thursday. The film is written and directed by Meesaya Murukku-fame Ananth, who is set to make his directorial debut with this film. Ananth has also played the lead role along with Bhavani Sre in NOVP.

A H Kaashif has composed music for the upcoming drama film on friendship. Aalathey is a romantic melody, crooned by actor Dhanush, Sam Vishal, and Harsha Vardhen. RJ Vijay, who plays the second lead in the film, has penned the verses for the song. 

Aalathey is the second single from NOVP. Previously the makers released the Pakoda Song which had verses from Asal Kolar and vocals from Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi. 

Monica also stars in a prominent role alongside Ananth, Bhavani and Vijay in the film. Kumaravel, CWC fame-Bala, Wilspat, Irfan, Sabarish and RJ Aanandhi play supporting roles in NOVP. 

Masala Popcorn Productions and White Feather Studios have bankrolled NOVP. Tamil Selvan has cranked the camera for this film which has editing by Fenny Oliver. The makers are yet to announce the release date for the film.
