It is well known that Rajinikanth will be seen in an extended cameo role in Lal Salaam as Moideen Bhai. On the occasion of his 73rd birthday, Lyca Productions, the banner bankrolling the film, shared a glimpse of the actor from the film.
In the one-minute-long glimpse video, we can see Rajinikanth, sporting a salt-and-pepper look and wearing a kurta. He is seen arriving in a car and bashing up goons in his signature style.
Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles.
The film also stars Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, Thangadurai, and KS Ravikumar among others. Kapil Dev will be playing a cameo role in Lal Salaam.
The upcoming film is billed to be a sports drama based on cricket. It will also reportedly have a political relevance. Lal Salaam has music composed by AR Rahman, marking his first-ever collaboration with Aishwarya. With cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy, the film has editing by Pravin Baaskar.
Lal Salaam will compete with Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan, Dhanush's Captain Miller and Sundar C's Aranmanai 4 at the box office. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth also has Thalaivar 170 which has now been titled Vettaiyan directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh and VJ Rakshan. Furthermore, the actor will be joining forces with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Thalaivar 171, which is also backed by Lyca Productions.
