We had earlier reported that actor Kavin will be headlining a Tamil film titled Star. The makers of the film on Saturday released a new video giving a glimpse of its characters, along with the announcement that the first single will be out on December 12 (for Rajinikanth's birthday).

Titled Photo Album of Star, the video introduces us to a photo album with Kavin's voiceover saying, "Dad, every year on my birthday, you capture a photo of me here. But I have never seen them." A visual of Kavin standing amidst the cutouts of Tamil film leads is shown on the beach. As each page of the album is turned over, we get to see stills from the protagonist's life, his parents, romantic moments and what they said to him at various stages.

Star is directed by Elan and also stars  Lal, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundhan, Geetha Kailasam among others. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja with Ezhil Arasu K as the cinematographer. Vinoth Raj Kumar N is the art director and Pradeep E Ragav will handle the edits.
