Dhanush is overwhelmed with the response for 3 re-release

The film completed 11 years since its release, in March this year

Dhanush's 2012 film 3, which was helmed by Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, was recently re-released in theatres in Chennai. On Saturday, the actor took to his official X handle to share how he feels about the response the film's re-release has been receiving. 

He wrote, "“3” Re release  response : Emotional , thankful and overwhelmed.  A million thanks." 3 marked Aishwarya Rajinikanth's debut as a director as well as a producer. 

The film also starred Shruti Haasan, Sundar Ramu, Prabhu, Rohini, Bhanupriya, Jeeva Ravi and Sivakarthikeyan among others. A psychological romantic drama, spoke about severe Bipolar Disorder. 

Anirudh Ravichander rose to fame with 'Why This Kolaveri' from 3. While he was the film's music composer, the technical team also had cinematographer Velraj, and editing by Kola Bhaskar. The film is backed by GopuArjunFilms. 

Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently awaiting the release of the Arun Matheswaran directorial Captain Miller which is set to hit theatres for Pongal 2024. He is working on his sophomore directorial, tentatively titled D50 and another film with director Shekhar Kamula. He also has Tere Ishk Mein with Anand L Rai.
