Ahead of the release of his upcoming action-thriller film Indian 2, actor Kamal Haasan wished director Shankar Shanmugam on his 60th birthday.
Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), the Vikram actor sharing a picture of the two together tweeted: “Many happy returns of this day, Dear Shankar ji”.
Many fans congratulated the veteran Tamil director on his birthday while referring to the two as the ‘power-packed danger duo’.
Indian 2 features Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 film marks the reunion of Shankar and the Vikram actor after several years.
It is co-produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies. The upcoming film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera.
Meanwhile, Shankar is also working on his Telugu debut as a director for Game Changer. The film stars Ram Charan in the lead role. Karthik Subbaraj has written the story of Game Changer. The film also stars Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Nassar, and Samuthirakani among others in prominent roles.
Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, Thaman will be composing the music for the film.
