Brindha Gopal's Thugs to premiere on TV, on Independence Day  

Thugs was released in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Thugs, Brindha Gopal's sophomore directorial, is set to premiere on Colors Tamil on August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day. The film hit theatres on February 24 and opened to mediocre reviews. Brindha Gopal made her directorial debut with Hey Sinamika.

Backed by Riya Shibu and Mumthas M under the HR pictures in association with Jio Studios, Thugs stars Bobby Simha, Munishkanth, RK Suresh and Hridhu Haroon in lead roles.

Hridhu plays a murder convict in the prison, Bobby Simha a gangster and Munishkanth as someone who knows the inside-out of the prison. While RK Suresh plays a cop investigating a case, the film is a crime thriller set in jail, and the detainees are on a mission to a prison break.

The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Priyesh Gurusamy, art director Joseph director, editor Praveen Antony and music composer Sam CS.
