On Tuesday, Dhanush released the trailer of GV Prakash’s Adiyae. Also starring Gouri Kishan in the lead, the film is helmed by Thittam Irandu-fame Vignesh Karthick. Venkat Prabhu also plays a key role in the film. 

The trailer of Adiyae starts by showing that GV Prakash’s character has somehow ended up in an alternate reality, where it snows in Chennai, and Captain Vijayakanth is the Prime Minister. It is explained that alternate realities exist for every human, for every possible alternate decision they may take. We also see that in all universes, GV Prakash falls in love with Gouri Kishan’s Senthazhini. 

In a previous conversation with CE, Vignesh Karthick said, “The film is a blend of romantic comedy and science-fiction. It is a comical love story that in the backdrop of parallel realities and alternate universes.” Gokul Benoy is the cinematographer and debutant Muthayan is the editor. Siva Sankar handled art direction for the film.  

Adiyae is set to hit theatres on August 25.
