Maamannan is headed for a June release

The much-awaited Mari Selvaraj-Udhayanidhi Stalin film Maamannan is currently heading for a June release. The makers are yet to confirm a release date for the film. The first look poster of the film features both Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu’s characters. 

The cast of the film also includes Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil. The music for the film is being composed by AR Rahman, who will be teaming up with Mari Selvaraj for the first time. Director Mari Selvaraj had earlier revealed that “Maamannan will be a big film in my career with an ensemble star cast. The film talks about significant politics. And Vadivelu's role will be a surprise and it will reiterate the big legend that he is.”

The film is backed by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant movies. This film has cinematography by Theni Eswar while editing is being handled by Selva. Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics for the songs while the dance choreography is handled by Sandy.
