Prakash Raj: Thank you Mani sir for Sundara Cholan

Actor Prakash Raj, who played Sundara Cholan in Ponniyin Selvan, extended his gratitude to director Mani Ratnam. 

A day after the release of the PS 2, Prakash Raj, in a tweet wrote, "PS2 .. a classic by the master Mani Ratnam sir. Proud to be a part of this wonderful team. Thank you Mani sir for Sundara Cholan." (sic)

The epic period film, directed by Mani Ratnam, tells a fictional story of the Chola dynasty. It features Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Rahman and R Parthiban, among many others. The film, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. Produced under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, Ponniyin Selvan was shot by Ravi Varman, while AR Rahman composed the music. The technical crew includes editor A Sreekar Prasad and production designer Thota Tharani.
