Actor Jayam Ravi who spoke at the final promotional event of Ponniyin Selvan 2 in Chennai today, expressed his love and gratitude to the cast and crew. 

The actor got extra emotional while talking about the bond he shares with his fellow cast member Karthi. "Addressing Karthi as a friend or brother will belittle the value of our bond. I would rather call him my soulmate. He holds a really special place in my heart," he said, adding that he wants to do work with him again. "I am always ready to reteam with Karthi for a film. Though I am not sure when it will materialise, I just want to keep spending quality time with him till then."

Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, Ponniyin Selvan is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. The film stars an ensemble cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban.  

Ponniyin Selvan 2 hits the theatres tomorrow.
