Recently, we reported that the next schedule of shoot for Indian 2 has begun in South Africa. On Sunday, actor Kamal Haasan took to Instagram to share a photo of himself from South Africa, in which he is seen holding a camera. He captioned the post, "The big game. Shooting in Africa!"

Previously, on Saturday, director Shankar shared a photo of himself from Africa on Twitter and wrote, "On the path of completing our schedule here in South Africa." 

Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 film. It is co-produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies. Indian 2 has been in production for several years now and had suffered a long delay after the freak crane incident that took place on the sets in February 2020.

The upcoming film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera. Recently, Kalidas Jayaram also joined the cast, uniting with Kamal once again after Vikram.

A release date is yet to be announced.
