The makers of Indian 2, the upcoming sequel starring actor Kamal Haasan in the lead role, released a poster of Siddharth, on the occasion of the actor's birthday on Monday. The team is currently shooting in South Africa.

However, the detail on the role Siddharth will be playing is kept under wraps.

Helmed by Shankar, Indian 2 is the sequel of the 1996 Tamil film by the same name. Apart from Kamal and Siddharth, the film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles

It is co-produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies. Indian 2 has been in production for several years now and had suffered a long delay after the freak crane incident that took place on the sets in February 2020. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera. Recently, Kalidas Jayaram also joined the cast, uniting with Kamal once again after Vikram.
