Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai Part 1, the crime thriller starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, hit the theatres on March 31. The film opened to fair responses from the audiences. The film discusses brutality in police procedurals, a rebel leader and his outfit fighting against corporates and the plight of tribals.

One of the initial scenes in the film, a single-take shot showing the aftermath of a railway bridge explosion, was widely appreciated. The makers, on Monday, shared the making video of planning that sequence. The making video featured erecting train and bridge sets at the location and glimpses of shooting the scene that showed how passengers grappled to rescue themselves and others.

The film also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, Bhavani Sre and Chetan, among others. The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja, cinematography by R Velraj and editing by R Ramar.
