Sarathkumar in talks to reunite with director Gautham Vasudev Menon

Sarathkumar, who has been busy promoting his upcoming period-drama Ponniyin Selvan-I, has confirmed that he is in talks to join hands with Gautham Vasudev Menon. In a recent press interaction, the actor revealed that the director had narrated a script, in the vein of the recently released Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram

The actor had previously collaborated with the Vinnaithandi Varuvaya director on the 2007 film Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film is based on the British-American thriller film Derailed. The film had Jyothika playing the antagonist while Andrea Jeremiah played the female lead. 

GVM is now hot on the heels of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, a gangster drama that starred Silambarasan TR playing the lead alongside Siddhi Idnani. The director will next be focusing on a sequel for the film. Meanwhile, Sarathkumar has an interesting line-up of films ready to release, Apart from the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, the actor will also be seen in Karthik Naren’s Nirangal Moondru along with Ashok Selvan starrer Porthozhil.
