While filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Vijay's upcoming film is currently under pre-production, speculations are doing rounds that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is likely to join the cast.

Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film will mark the second collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh after Master. Meanwhile, the recent reports suggest that Prithviraj, who just wrapped the shoot for Kaapa, will join the team of Thalapathy 67. However, the makers have not confirmed this yet.

On the other hand, the director, who recently participated in an event organised for his assistants in Chennai, reportedly revealed that Thalapathy 67 update will be made within the next couple of months by the makers. Earlier, it was also reported that Sanjay Dutt was roped to play the antagonist's role in the film.
