For a while now there have been reports about Rajinikanth teaming up with Don director Cibi Chakravarthi for his next. Tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, the film is to be produced by Lyca Productions. The latest buzz is that Arvind Swami might be playing a crucial role in the film. The Thani Oruvan actor has previously worked with Rajinikanth in the 1991-released Mani Ratnam directorial Thalapathi.

Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Jailer, helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film, set in the backdrop of a jail, also stars Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi, and Yogi Babu. Sun Pictures is producing the film. The superstar is expected to start working on Cibi's film immediately after the completion of Jailer.

Meanwhile, Arvind Swami was recently seen in the Malayalam film Ottu. The film, directed by Fellini TP, is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, but its Tamil version Rendagam is yet to hit the screens. The actor also has KallapartSathuranga Vettai 2 and Vanangamudi lined up.
