Director V Gowthaman to make a comeback with Maveera, GV Prakash to compose music 

The names of the lead actors are expected to be announced soon

Director V Gowthaman, who previously made Kanave Kalaiyadhe (1998) starring Murali and Simran, and Magizhchi (2010) will be making his comeback to filmmaking with a new film titled Maveera.  The film will have music by GV Prakash and lyrics by Vairamuthu. The film is produced by V.K Production Group.

Director V Gowthaman states that the film will highlight the heroism, virtue and warmth of the Tamils. "My lifetime goal is to tell the world about the history of the heroes who lived in Santhanakadu, Mundhirikadu, and Vannikadu regions, in an uncompromised manner. Maveera is an epic story of a real hero who protected the land and honour."

Vetrivel Mahendran is handling the cinematography of Maveera. Balamurali Varman is penning the dialogues, and Mayapandi is in charge of the art department.
