A while ago, Vadivelu had disclosed in an interaction with press that he will be joining hands with Vijay Sethupathi for an upcoming film. Now, multiple sources have speculated that they will be working together on a film directed and produced by Arumugamkumar, who bankrolled Laabam and directed Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren. 

The film is expected to be a full-fledged comedy like Idharku Thaaney Aasaipattai Balakumara and Soodhu Kavvum. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon.

Vadivelu currently has Naai Sekhar Returns and Mamannan in post-production stage. Vijay Sethupathi on the other hand has Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai, Atlee's Jawan, Katrina Kaif's Merry Christmas in various stages of production.
