Arya-Muthaiya film goes on floors

CE Features

We had previously reported that Arya will be teaming up with filmmaker Muthaiya for his next. The film was officially launched on Sunday with a formal pooja ceremony, which saw the film's cast and crew in attendance. The team has also commenced filming the yet-to-be-titled project, that is tentatively being referred to as Arya 34.

It has also been announced that Siddhi Idnani, who made her debut with Guatham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, will be playing the female lead. The film is expected to be another rural action-entertainer outing from Muthaiya, who is best-known for churning out hits in the genre like Kutty Puli (2010), Komban (2015) and Devarattaam (2019). His most recent outing, Viruman, starring Karthi, was also a rural actioner.

Arya 34 will have cinematography by R Velraj, who also shot Muthaiya's Marudhu (2016), while GV Prakash will compose the tunes. The film will be produced by Drumsticks Producions in association with Zee Studios South.
