Parthiban and Sarathkumar talk about playing Pazhuvettarayar brothers in new promo video

Actors Parthiban and Sarathkumar talk about playing the Pazhuvettarayar brothers in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan-I. The video is released by the film’s production house Lyca Productions on their official Youtube channel. The light-hearted promo video featured both the veteran actors talking about the fun moments they had during the filming.

Sarathkumar played the elder brother, the Cholan treasure Periya Pazhuvettarayar while Parthiban played his younger brother Siriya Pazhuvettarayar, the head guard of the Cholan emperor’s castle. The video is intercut with behind-the-scenes footage from the film.

Ponniyin Selvan-I, directed by auteur director Mani Ratnam, is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Tamil novelist Kalki Krishnamoorthy. The film was released on 30 September and received generally favourable reviews. The ensemble cast of the film includes Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Sarathkumar, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Vikram Prabhu.
