Kamal Haasan's Vikram to be screened at Busan International Film Festival

The film, which opened to positive reviews, is also the highest-grossing Tamil film of this year yet

After turning out to be one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema this year, Kamal Haasan's Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, will now screen at Busan International Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place from October 5 - 14. The film, also starring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahad Faasil, Gayathrie, Narain and Kalidas Jayaram, was bankrolled by Kamal's home banner Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI). 

According to a statement released by the film's team, Vikram will be screened under the "Open Cinema category that recognises new and internationally acclaimed films that strike the perfect balance between popular and artistic cinema."

Regarding the film's international recognition, V Narayanan, CEO of RKFI, said, "The response to Vikram all over the world has been extremely overwhelming. The Busan International Film Festival is another feather in the film's cap and its selection is a win for the entire team. We are proud to have our film being screened along with some of the finest films across the globe and are grateful for all the love and adulation from the audience."

With music by Anirudh, Vikram's cinematography is handled by Girish Gangadharan. The film, which opened to positive reviews, is also the highest-grossing Tamil film of this year yet.
