Baba re-release: Rajinikanth dubs new lines

The makers are considering releasing the film in other states and abroad as well

Earlier, we reported that the 2002 film Baba, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Suresh Krissna, will once again hit the theatres after 20 long years. In fact, the film is expected to be out on December 12 to mark the occasion of the Superstar's 72nd birthday. 

The makers revealed that Rajinikanth has now dubbed for new scenes in the newly edited version. 

Following the announcement regarding the film's release, the fans have expressed their excitement in large numbers. Due to the overwhelming reception, the makers are planning to release it in many theatres in Tamil Nadu and other states and countries, a press release stated.

The film is now technically updated with advanced DI and mixing. Besides, the film's music composer, AR Rahman has requested a preview to check if he needs to upgrade the music as well.

Baba, produced by Rajinikanth, under his banner Lotus International, features Manisha Koirala, Delhi Ganesh, Goundamani, Sujatha, MN Nambiar and Sayaji Shinde.
