Kamal Haasan met legendary actor-director K Viswanath at his residence in Hyderabad today. Photos of Kamal seeking blessings from Viswanath are doing the rounds on social media.

Viswanath has directed Kamal Haasan in classics like Sagara Sangamam (1983), Swathi Muthyam (1986), and Subha Sankalpam (1995). They have also acted together in Kuruthipunal (1995) and Uttama Villain (2015).

On the work front, Kamal is currently shooting for Indian 2, directed by Shankar. The veteran had also recently announced a project with Mani Ratnam. Titled Kamal 234, the film is set to be produced by Raaj Kamal International, Red Giant Movies and Madras Talkies. The makers are planning to release it in 2024.

Kamal has also committed a film with Malayalam filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan, which he is also scripting.
