Cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh joins Kamal Haasan's Indian 2

Yograj Singh, the former cricketer and actor has joined the sets of Kamal Haasan's Indian 2, directed by Shankar. The actor himself made the announcement along with a picture of him getting his make-up ready in a caravan. 

He captioned the picture, "The Lion of Punjab (referring to himself) is ready for Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan ji!"

Interestingly, Yograj's last film in Tamil is Rajinikanth's Darbar (2020). Having acted in over a hundred films in Punjabi and Hindi, he is best known as the father of retired star cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Yograj is also famous for his Hindi films Teen Thay Bhai, Singh is Bling, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Shoot for Indian 2 resumed recently after being shelved for almost two years. It is the sequel of Shankar-Kamal Haasan combo's 1996 Tamil vigilante action film, Indian. The upcoming film is also helmed by Shankar with support from his erstwhile assistants, Vasanthabalan, Chimbudevan, and Arivazhagan.

In the sequel, Kamal is reprising the titular role. Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, Bobby Simha, and Guru Somasundaram are also part of the cast.
