We had earlier reported that Vikram is teaming up with Imaikkaa Nodigal-fame Ajay Gnanamuthu for a film titled Cobra. It's now known that the film will hit the screens on August 11. The makers took to Twitter to share an animation video which also confirmed the release date. 

Cobra, starring KGF-fame Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, has an ensemble cast that includes Irfan Pathan, Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Kaniha, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindarajan and KS Ravikumar.

While the filming started in late 2019, it was wrapped up in February this year. With music by AR Rahman, Cobra's cinematography is done by Harish Kannan.
