Director Seenu Ramasamy's long-delayed Maamanithan, featuring actors Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in the lead, will hit screens on May 6.

The film has already been cleared by the Censor Board with a clean U certificate.

Maamanithan has Vijay Sethupathi playing an auto driver called Radhakrishnan in the film while Gayathrie playing his wife. Guru Somasundran and Anikha of Viswasam fame appear in crucial roles. 

Maamanithan is Seenu Ramaswamy's fourth collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi after Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Dharmadurai, and the yet-to-be-released Idam Porul Eval.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is producing the film. It is also the first time the Peranbu composer has joined hands with his father Ilaiyaraaja to compose for a film.
