It has been announced that actor Sunainaa will be playing the lead role in an upcoming multilingual film titled Regina. The film will be directed by Domin DSilva, who has helmed Malayalam films such as Pyppin Chuvattile Pranayam and Star, while Sathish Nair will be producing the film through his production house, Yellow Bear Production LLP.

Speaking about the film, Sathish says, "It's a thriller following the story of a homemaker who is pushed into uncommon circumstances and has to undergo a transformation. It has shades of revenge drama too." Sathish, who is also composing the music, adds, "The filming of the project commenced yesterday and we are planning to wrap it in 35 to 40 working days."

Regina will have cinematography by Pavan K Pavan, while Toby John will be handling the editing. The film, which is being shot in Tamil, will release in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.

Sunainaa, on the other hand, has the long-delayed Eriyum Kannadi, co-starring Nakul, and the Vishal-starrer Laththi coming up.
