Speculations are emerging on social media that Shruti Haasan will be teaming up with filmmaker Deekay, best known for directing the 2014 horror comedy Yaamirukka Bayamey and the 2016 romantic comedy, Kavalai Vendam, for an upcoming project.

While an official announcement is yet to be made, if the speculations are proven true, the film will mark the first collaboration between the filmmaker and the actor. Other details related to the project are currently under wraps.

Deekay, meanwhile, has two films awaiting release. One is the long-delayed horror-comedy Kaatteri featuring Vaibhav, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sonam Bajwa, and Aathmika in lead roles. The second is yet another horror film titled Karungaapiyam, starring Kajal Aggarwal, Regina Cassandra, Janani, and Noyrika.

Shruti, on the other hand, has NBK 107, Chiranjeevi's Walter Veerayya, and Salaar coming up.
