Sivakarthikeyan's Prince locks a festival release date

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan's next, Prince, had earlier announced that the film will be hitting screens on August 31. Now, they have announced a new release date. The Anudeep KV-directorial will be hitting screens on Deepavali. The makers shared the news by releasing a video featuring actors Sivakarthikeyan, Maria Ryaboshapka, Sathayaraj and director Anudeep.

In the three-minute-long light-hearted video shared by Sivakarthikeyan, the actor addresses the postponement while teasing Anudeep's Tamil and his repeated usage of the word 'Irakkam (kindness)'.

The film, which has music by Thaman and is produced by D Suresh Babu, Narayan Das K Narang, and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao through Suresh Productions Pvt, Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP, and Shanthi Talkies. The first look of the film was earlier this month and featured Sivakarthikeyan holding a globe. In the new video too, the makers speak about different countries, hinting at the film's storyline.

In addition to Prince, Siva has the long-awaited Ayalaan, directed by Ravi Kumar, and a film with Rajkumar Periyasamy under Kamal Haasan's production in his slate of releases.
