Calling out a media report that claimed Samantha was spreading rumours on Naga Chaitanya to portray him in bad light, the Oh! Baby actor urged people to "move on" as both she and Chaitanya have moved on from their relationship. The report came amidst rumours of Naga Chaitanya and Made In Heaven fame Sobhita Dhulipala dating each other.

Quote tweeting the report on Twitter, which also stated that her actions have left Naga Chaitanya's fans upset with her, she wrote on Twitter, “Rumours on girl – Must be true!! Rumours on boy – Planted by girl!! Grow up guys. Parties involved have clearly moved on. You should move on too!! Concentrate on your work, on your families. Move on!!”

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their split publicly on social media in October last year after being married for four years.

On the workfront, Samantha, was last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha in lead roles. She is currently awaiting the release of her Telugu film Shaakuntalam, written and directed by Gunasekhar.
