Release date of Dhanush's Thiruchitrambhalam announced 

The release date of Dhanush's next, Thiruchitrambalam, is out. Sun Pictures, the production house of the film, has announced that the Mithran Jawahar directorial will be hitting screens on August 18. The announcement was made through the release of a new motion poster featuring Dhanush dancing in the middle of a road.

The film stars Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashii Khanna as the female leads while Prakash Raj and Bharathi Raja will be seen in prominent roles. The first looks of the primary cast were released recently. Thiruchitrambalam marks Dhanush's first theatre release after Karnan, with his three other films, Jagame Thandhiram, Atrangi Re and Maaran opting for straight-to-streaming releases. 

The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Om Prakash. Dhanush is also awaiting the release of The Gray Man which also stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. The film is releasing on Netflix on July 22. He also has Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi/Sir and an untitled project with Arun Matheswaran on his slate.
