CE Features

Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who has worked in multi-starrers, including the recently released Vikram, is reported to have been approached to play a role in the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan film Maaveeran.

While there has been no official announcement on the same, media reports suggest that Vijay Sethupathi has been approached to play an important role in the film. If the speculations are true, it will be first time the actors are uniting onscreen. It is interesting to note that both the actors entered the film industry around the same time in early 2010s, and have shared more or less same career trajectory to achieving stardom currently.

Maaveeran will release in Tamil and Telugu. It has been titled Mahaveerudu in Telugu. The upcoming film will be the sophomore directorial of filmmaker Madonne Ashwin, who earlier made his debut with critically acclaimed Mandela, starring Yogi Babu. The director also bagged the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director at the 68th National Film Awards 2022 announced recently, besides winning another award for dialogue writer.
