If reports are to believed, Vasanth Ravi will be seen playing a prominent role in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer. Vasanth is noted for his performances in Tharamani and Rocky.

Written and directed by Nelson, Jailer is produced by Sun Pictures. The film is said to be set in the backdrop of a jail with Rajini playing the titular character. Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar is also confirmed to play a major role in it. The makers are expected to officially announce details about the cast members shortly.

Nelson has retained his regular set of technicians for Jailer including music director Anirudh Ravichander and editor Nirmal. Vijay Karthik Kannan, who worked in Doctor, is also part of Jailer.
